Oxfam Swap..

Last weekend I attended the Oxfam Clothes Swap located at the one and only Carriage Works in Newtown. Literally across the road from my place my sister and I waddled down on Saturday morning carrying with us 20 items to attend the swap. I bought with me a few Bec & Bridge pieces a Shakuhachi pair of unused tights, a heap of cute dresses and shoes and two hats. We were so excited as the doors opened it was like Christmas morning running down the concrete hall, turned the corner and about 10 tables filled with clothing! I was expecting alot of high end pieces, but to our disappointment there was alot of (pardon the pun) Shit!!!!!!!
I walked away with blouses I could have picked up from the local Vinnie's. I did however find myself a Chloe handbag and a pair of barley used Colorado Loafers.
So will I participate in this 'swap' again.. Don't think so.. I'm just thinking of the people who are walking around in my designer clothing.. ahhhhh sighhhh

  3. Hi gorgeous,
I bought it from David Jones Melbourne. It also came in a nude/peach colour which I was going to get then decided black is always in fashion - nude isn't (even though we shouldn't follow 'trends')
It made a hugeeee dent in my bank account *sighh*
I still feel guilty about it!
    xx
